Icarus started business in 1985, principally trading in Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloys and Titanium piping material.
The company was started up by 3 private individuals and was located in the centre of Liège.
During the first 5 years the activities grew to such an extent that it was necessary to hire extra people and move to a larger office in an industrial centre just outside Liège.
In 1991 the company took over a well established valve company in order to expand its product range. The company also decided to profile itself as a short lead-time manufacturer of valves in Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium. Today the company is recognised as a specialist in the field of piping as well as valves, able to offer clients complete taylor-made solutions for both long and short delivery times.
In April 2007 Vector International - worldwide known for their SPO compact flange and Techlok Clamp connector - merged with ICARUS, in order to reinforce both our positions on the global market.
A new milestone in the company's history.

Now we are in 2007 … 22 years later with around 120 ICARUS employees … a good international reputation … and a well earned place in the market …the company still has the same goal as in 1985 … to improve.
